A beautiful day but no time to admire it as we had six of our peak district cottages out and seven back in. Although this isn’t anything out of the normal (in summer we have eight cottages out and eight back in on most Saturdays) it is usually the most cleaning intensive ‘change over’, as people tend to be in more and do more cooking over the Christmas period. I therefore always hang around to see if I can clean an oven or a bad bathroom to let the cleaners get on with other jobs. As it turned out all the cottages were left clean and tidy so it didn’t take as long as expected. I had a few maintenance jobs – sink plug in Honeysuckle and tighten the shower head in Sheepfold. But nothing very exciting. I therefore spent the rest of the afternoon trying to improve our page position in Google. We have now slipped to second place on page two (this is not good). I have decided to add an entire new section to the web site where I can display information on peak district walks, walks from our cottages, attractions etc. Hopefully Google will like the new content including the video shown here.
